2008-2026 Yamaha Waverunner Top Post Battery Replacement Screws PLEASE READ FOR PURCHASE INFO

This battery screw hardware kit is a direct replacement to the top post Phillips head screws used by Yamaha. It removes and replaces the small factory screws with a longer threaded stud and nut. One end of the stud has a small diameter slip fit straight pilot to make quick and easy work of starting the extra-long battery nut. The kit parts are sized to make them easier to hold and less likely to drop while making battery connections. The extra length also maintains maximum thread engagement within the threaded battery post because the stud always remains fully threaded inside the hole.

If you add any type of accessory using the original battery screws then you risk the chance of stripping the battery lug threads because each ring terminal used will move the short factory screw further and further out of the lug. The replacement studs are longer and have an "easy start" pilot at the end, so you can slip the nut on without having to worry about it falling off while tightening. The extra thread length also gives plenty of room to stack numerous accessory/electric ring terminals on the battery without risking thread stripping. The stainless steel nut is longer than a standard nut. It can be tightened with a 10 millimeter socket or nut driver. The screw thread size is M6 (AKA 6 millimeter) and will fit the batteries normally used in Waverunners (Deka, Yuasa, MotoBatt). It will also fit the Odyssey PC625 (part # ODS-AGM16CL), but the Odyssey uses a side post M6 screw. This kit is not recommended for any type of side post battery.
